Summer comes marking a hibernating period for TV shows, and it is sign for movie-goers: popcorn films and blockbusters are back to storm cinemas. Let’s see which movies should we thrill to 🙂
1. Terminator – Salvation (2009)
I must say the poster of latest sequel Terminator got me right in 😀 starring Christian Bale, Sam Worthington and wearing tagline The End Begins, Salvation is praised as an excellent action-packed movie, over-the-top acting with help of stunning visual effects and great sound effect.
Plot: Set in 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind …
Terminator – Salvation was already airing since 21 May and one should check it out soonest just to see how possibly could We Fight Back 😀
2. Blood: The Last Vampire (2009)
From producer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and Hero (2002), Blood: The Last Vampire retold story of a 16-year-old girl Saya who hides the tormented soul of a 400-year-old halfling. Given birth by her human father and a vampire mother, Saya survives only on blood, and has been obsessed to get rid of vampires using her samurai skills for centuries. When she is sent onto an American military base in Tokyo, she sees it as the opportunity to destroy Onigen, the evil patriarch of all vampires. Soon after befriending the young daughter of the base’s general, she learns about her true power …
“Blood: The Last Vampire” is a live-action film starring Jeon Ji Hyun as Saya, and other supporters: Masiela Lusha, Allison Miller, Koyuki and Liam Cunningham. This movie reminds me of Azumi: Love and Death with bloody sexy scene 😀 Korean actress Jeon Ji Huyn is probably another plus.
3. Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
Save the best for the last I would bet Transformers 2 ‘Fallen’ is going to be most anticipated scifi-action movie this summer. More than to meet the eyes, “Fallen” will star once again Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox as Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes. In this adventure, they are under attacked by the evil Decepticons because Sam has learned things about the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history on Earth …
It’s noticed that in Transformers 2, Bumbleebe looks like he’s playing more significant role in Autorobots team. The official trailer won’t tell us much but definitely “Fallen” promises more robot fighting scenes with tremedous movements and more close-up robots’ faces. Micheal Bay did another masterpiece with his unique creativity and huge graphic effects put together. Music of Transformers 2 is done by Hans Zimmer – father of soundtrack motion for Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight … as a certificate for high satisfaction ^^
Transfomers 2 will only hit the theatres by next month 24 June. Interestingly enough, rumors are flying that Transformers 3 is already under filmming. Till then, let’s surf around for interesting facts, and especially enjoy the new OST of Transformers 2 – New Divide – performed by Linkin’ Park 😛
